Electroplating is the process of applying a thin layer of other metals or alloys on the surface of certain metals by electrolysis. It is a process of applying a metal film to the surface of metals or other materials to prevent metal oxidation (such as rust), improve wear resistance, electrical conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance (copper sulfate, etc.) and enhance aesthetics.

Types of plating

1. Copper plating: priming, enhance the ability to adhere to the plating layer, and the ability to resist corrosion.
2. Nickel plating: priming or appearance, to enhance the corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
3. Gold plating: improve the conductive contact impedance, enhance signal transmission.
4. Palladium-nickel plating: improve the conductive contact impedance, enhance signal transmission, wear resistance than gold.
5. Tin-lead plating: improve soldering ability, soon to be replaced by other substitutes.
6. Silver plating: improve the conductive contact impedance, improve signal transmission.

Elements of electroplating

1. Cathode: the plated object, referring to various connector terminals.
2. Anode: If it is soluble anode, it is the metal to be plated. If it is insoluble anode, most of them are precious metals (white gold, iridium oxide).
3. Plating solution: plating solution containing ions of the metal to be plated.
4. Plating tank: The tank that can bear and store the plating solution, generally considering strength, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, etc.
5. Rectifier: The equipment to provide DC power supply.

It is basically an industrial grade hi current dc, power supply. Robust construction yet attractive looking & easy operation are the main features of this equipment.

It is designed for starting ( cranking ) any automotive or industrial Diesel / petrol engine . There are three different models according to the starter motor operating voltage.

 

There are two main applications of this gadget.

First, it is very useful where 3 or 4 diesel Gen-sets are installed in one shed. By using this machine there is no need to keep separate batteries for starting the individual Gen-set. Only one DG set is to be started on the battery and with the power output of that DG set, cranker will start all remaining engines without the help of batteries.

Rectifier equipments are wound with electrolytic prime grade copper strip to minimize power losses, in comparison to aluminum conductor used by many other manufacturers. Our equipments are designed liberally as per capacity and are Ideally suitable for marginal over loading conditions.

We use vertical rolling contact type voltage regulator wound with heavy section of copper strips suitable for 100% continuous duty cycle or industrial applications, in comparison to conventional wire wound regulators used by other manufacturers. The carbon rollers move on both sides of the winding.

Diodes: Silicon diodes are tested in-house, similar PIV batch and same forward drop diodes are used in the equipment for equal load sharing and reducing the power losses of diodes.

Lamination Core: We use imported CRGO lamination core which have minimum power losses and results in better efficiency of equipment and saving in energy bill.

Paints: We are painting the equipment with Epoxy paint which is resistant to acidic environment of plating process and enhance the life of the equipment by preventing it from corrosion.

High grade, hermetically-sealed semiconductors are mounted on heat sinks and are protected with quick-acting silver sand fuses. Rectifier Transformer Transformer coils are wound with continuous copper conductors, varnish impregnated, and then oven baked for protection against dust, moisture, and fumes. Thermal-overload sensing devices are included in each leg of the transformer to detect winding over temperature due to single phasing, overloading or loss of cooling. Enclosure Enclosures are rigid, welded, free-standing, self-supporting painted cold rolled sheet steel. The base of the rectifier assembly is a heavy duty assembly formed from structural steel members with provisions for fork lifting of the supply. The front and rear of the enclosure is serviceable through lockable, latch-type full length doors or panels. We can manufacture custom designed units with any rating, cabin and Colour. Enclosures are treated with two coats of a suitable primer and two coats of light gray RAL7035. Custom paint colors available upon request. Remote mentoring and control can be provided through Analogue Transducers and Potential free contacts. These can be hooked to Customer PLC/DCS system.
